Who We Are
The Volunteer Well is a federally registered Canadian charitable not-for-profit organization. We operate Generosity Hub that fosters mutual aid principles, resource-sharing, and direct community support without intermediaries. Our platform celebrates giving and receiving as two parts of the same coin of generosity, empowering individuals to seek and offer time, skills, and resources directly from their community.
Our charitable focus includes:
- Addressing and preventing social and economic disadvantages faced by women, LGBTQ++ individuals, people in financial need, newcomers, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) families.
- Relieving conditions attributed to aging by offering community-based programs that reduce social isolation and loneliness.
- Supporting the development of children and youth through life-skills training and programs that encourage their growth as active, engaged community members and volunteers.

What We Do
- We operate Generosity Hub, connecting individuals offering time, skills, or support with those in need, especially those experiencing poverty, isolation, or systemic barriers.
- We deliver inclusive, charitable programs and events co-designed with equity-deserving communities, including job mentorship, life skills training, and wellness initiatives.
- We offer programs that alleviate loneliness and social isolation, especially among seniors, women, youth and newcomers.
- We engage children and youth in developmental activities that build life skills and encourage participation in community life through volunteering.
We partner with nonprofits, municipalities, and other community stakeholders to expand the reach of our charitable activities.
Legal & Governance Commitments
- Operate in compliance with the Canadian legislative framework for non-profit charities.
- Maintain accurate by-laws, proper board governance, and transparent financial reporting.
- Align all activities with our registered charitable purposes and CRA expectations.
